Hope College is located in the upper-midwest of the United States which is just a few miles away from Lake Michigan. Why Hope College?
Hope College is known for its family-like atmosphere. It’s a welcoming community that embraces its international students. Students who attend Hope feel welcomed not only on campus but also when out in the community. Hope College offers so many opportunities to its students, including a student-centric classroom environment with easily accessible and caring professors who are always available to assist. The faculty to student ratio is 12:1, creating a more individualized approach to learning, fostering positive relationships to make it more beneficial for student success.
As we mentioned, professors at Hope College work very closely with students, and student-faculty research programs are funded by more than $2 million in active grants, making Hope an undergraduate research powerhouse.
Hope College offers an International Student Scholarship (merit-based) award up to $25,000 and all admitted international applicants will be considered for up to the full award.
Is Hope a Christian College?
Hope is a Christian College, and although they do not have a mandatory statement of faith or mandatory chapel, they do offer chapel services three times a week from 10:30 - 10:50 AM on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Over a thousand students attend each chapel service. Even though it is not mandatory, many students truly enjoy what they get out of their chapel services and the fellowship they get to share with other students.
What is it like on campus?
Hope College has a beautiful on-campus residency required for all students for a minimum of three years.
