Updated: Oct 6, 2022

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) is one of our partners for both undergraduate and graduate programs. They are known to be located in the entertainment capital of the world! The student population is 30,000+ students — 25,000 undergraduate and 5,000 graduate and professional. They are home to 1,000+ international students from 80+ countries. The top countries international students come from are: China, Korea, Vietnam, Taiwan, and Japan.

Why Attend?

UNLV is located in the southwestern portion of the U.S. in Nevada. Las Vegas has a population of 2.3 million people and plenty of experiences to offer. The famous Las Vegas strip is a 1.5 kilometer walk from the edge of campus. If you're looking to explore nature you will be excited to know there are also plenty of outdoor experiences! Red Rock Canyon is 30 minutes from campus, the Grand Canyon is 5 hours away (by car), and Zion National Park is 3 hours by car. San Diego is less than an hour flight and 4 to 5 hours if you want to drive through the Mojave desert! UNLV offers an outdoor adventure club that takes 80 trips to explore Nevada, all at no cost to students. This is a great way for international students to network and explore a portion of the U.S.

City life in Las Vegas is also very enriching. There are 50+ galleries and museums to visit and of course everything the Las Vegas strip has to offer. Visit botanical gardens, shark aquariums in Mandalay Bay, ride roller coasters, and even view the city from the Eiffel Tower viewing deck. Upon departure from the airport, all international students are taken to the famous "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign to take fun pictures to share with family and friends before heading to campus.
