Speakers:

Robin Lilienthal, Provost, Marshalltown Community College (Iowa Valley Community College System)

Robin has been Provost at MCC since 2010, and led the Iowa Valley Grinnell campus for ten years prior to that. Her passion for working in higher education and with college students started when she had a work-study job at age 18 in the career development and placement office. She quickly abandoned her dreams of Madison Avenue when she realized that she could make a career in helping students be successful while never leaving college! Her career in higher education has been highlighted with positions in academic advising at another community college, student activities and residence life at St. Ambrose University, and admissions and Greek affairs at Iowa State University. All of Robin’s education has been at ISU with a B.A. in Journalism Advertising, M.S. in Student Affairs, and Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies.
