EdAgree's 2022 Resolution - Our Commitment to EdAgree Scholars

Updated: Apr 6, 2022

As we enter 2022, I want to thank the incredible founding team at EdAgree.

2021, our first year of operations, was a rollercoaster of exciting new partnerships, late nights and frequent sprints; but it was also a year of unwavering mission clarity: EdAgree delivers honest counseling and cutting-edge capabilities that help all international students get ready for and get into great universities.

Our early success was predicated on trust and support from ETS (our parent), on close partnership and active collaboration with our network of universities, on team-teaching and counseling with our high school network, and on a growing number of strategic partners who have broadly promoted the practice tools and assessments that EdAgree makes available to students—always for free.

Our mission will not change in 2022. Every month, our platform now welcomes tens of thousands of aspiring students. They come to my.EdAgree.com to take diagnostic tests, practice their speaking and interview skills, complete self-discovery quizzes, explore universities, and more. They come in ever-increasing numbers because EdAgree has grown into a hub of information and services for all international students. In 2022, we will expand our capabilities even further so that students will have a free and seamless control center to match up their dreams with their opportunities, and we’ll have fun doing it!

Education is the lifeblood of international exchange. Access and equity on the world stage require that socioeconomic and political barriers to learning be demolished. I am immensely proud to be working with colleagues who are motivated to be part of that demolition team!

2020 and 2021 presented unique challenges for international students. COVID shut down schools, borders and universities in uncertain waves. We are optimistic that 2022 will be the year of recovery from this global pandemic, even as the long-term likelihood of further variants grows.

Our resolution for 2022--our commitment to EdAgree Scholars and to our university partners--is that we will clearly communicate new opportunities and processes across the international education ecosystem. We will open new roads for study, uncover and even provide sources of funding for students, work with admissions teams to validate new proficiency markers for aspiring students. Much will change in the mechanics of international education in the coming couple of years, but student success will remain the goal that drives our innovation.
